Prayers From Saints Or Ain'ts

Who will intercede
For me when the time comes
Making a request
Braced for forward coming

Who will pray for me
Till my need banishes
Or my want captive
By God's kept promises

Who is praying now
Is it Saint or the Ain't
The one who God owes
That one He knows but faint

Why are they praying
For form or for fashion
Just to pity me
Or a pleading session

Who are the worthy
Who grab God's attention
Who speak with power
Saint or Ain't to mention

It's not the praying
The motive of prayer
Makes its substance clear
For the who standing there

It is why you're there
Standing before our God
No!  not who is here
Kneeling asking for ought
