Preamble

E Pluribus unum, many equals one
What our country was founded onÂ
Many different nationality
All becoming of one mind and accord
To reach the same common goal
Founded on A God we trust
Was our foundation and the crust
Of our slice of the American pie
United we stand divided we fall
How could we have missed it all
Justice, civil peace and prosperity
What used to be the American Dream
Promoting the welfare for everyone
The common defense was on our side
Securing the blessing for ourselves and our posterity
Why is it we can not see
That God was the provider of all these things
Since we've removed him how will we gain
A perfect union where we are all the same

ALL IN THE FAMILY...
THEME SONG!
For too many personal reasons they were most similar to my family...

Sarita your point of view is intriguing to me on so many levels; superb write by the way....As a Canadian, and an immigrant from Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies, I've always felt a bit American, lol....I watch American news, TV shows and I'm crazy about all the accents; folks living 10 miles apart have different accents?  Anyway as an outsider I do 'dig' America and for the most part all things American, but I have eyes and eyes as well, and I hear and see all the things you articulated in this poem; I raise a toast to a most interesting post, terrific reading....cheers
