Precious Little Blossom

Precious little blossom,
Petals still closed
Will blossom so elegantlyÂ
If mother nature wishes so
Oh no, plucked and picked too soon
Forever throwing away it's chance to bloom
Yet still so beautiful, a greedy man took her too soon
If you love something, you let it grow, no?
So now we wait till it dies, each day warping more and moreÂ
And now the once young and beautiful blossom, dead
In the trash, to be forgotten forever
No one will grieve, they'll pick another young blossom instead

Hey Cherie, today I am just thinking about my life and the things I never got to do. I was 17Â when I moved out of my home, dropped out highschool, got three jobs, went back to school to get my ged, all while raising my 12 year old brother. I was so talented in everything I did, an athlete, an artist and even a leader. I sacrificed my entire future so that my little brother could have one, and now that he is grown up and out of the house I find myself trying to catch up, and now I have my own daughter which makes it harder since I have no family to help me. The reason why I write poetry like I do (in a narrative style) is because I feel I can express myself how I want to without making it all about me. Thanks for reading hun
Cherie, you're too kind dear
