Prelude to a Kiss from the book Images by D. Maurice Waddell

Like a flame

I burn with the desire to touch your lips

Secretly you envisioning the same

My heart flutters a bit I must admit

For just the mere thought of the act

Unlocks the barriers of my physical control

In fact, every touch fulfilling and exact

Flashes of ecstasy before the moment unfolds

Every sense, every sensation

The silent anticipation

As we slowly open our hearts gate

Our windows to the world close as we partake . . .and taste.
