THE PRINCESS AND THE UNICORN
Once upon a time
In a land so far away
There lived a beautiful princess
Who loved to run and play
Dancing through the meadows
And running by the stream
Playing with her friend
Her life was one big dream
This friend of hers was special
Not many in the land
A rare and beautiful unicorn
Who would jump at her command
A unicorn so precious
And special this is true
He’d fly amongst the clouds
And dance around their hue
But one day when out walking
The princess she got lost
Stumbled on a strange dark cave
It was the dragon she now crossed
As she peered into the entrance
Scared and all alone
A dragon came towards her
As the ground it gave a groan!
This beast he was enormous
And covered in sharp spikes
The princess she fell backwards
And squealed out “Help me ... yikes!!”
The dragon he was angry
She’d woken him from sleep
He lunged towards the princess
In one gigantic leap!
But just before that moment
Who should hear her cry?
The unicorn came swooping down
And took her off into the sky
The dragon breathed out fire
Nearly burning his poor wing
But the unicorn was big and brave
And flew the princess to the King
The King he was relieved
For his daughter’s safe return
The story she now told him
Of unicorn’s bravery, he would learn
The King he was delighted
That she had her trusted friend
So held a party in his honour
To celebrate a happy end ........

Thanks Carey, my Mum always said I was good at telling stories LOL!!  This story was actually a special request from my 3 year old daughter and she gave me the storyline, so I hope I did it justice! I am sure she will let me know ha ha!!  Thanks for your constant support, it is much appreciated :)
