Priorities

Priorities

Life's leftovers, served to me every day.
Remains of the choice cuts you picked clean away.
Dregs in the barrel, nasty and bad.
All I can find when the best has been had.
Proverbial fat kid, buck teeth and specs.
Real needs ignored through lack of respect.
Somehow it seems that I have no say.
Despite you proclaiming you're 'helping' this way.
Sadly I see it's just more veiled lies.
I'm nobody's first as they prioritise.

Well all I can say is Mr Carson McCullers was a very wise man! Although that wasn't my conscious drive behind it, it could certainly be an unconscious way of catharsis by confession but without recrimination and question? I honestly don't know lol. My thoughts were of neglect but in a far deeper way and more pertinent to my current situation.  Spookily, you are the second person this week to see that in my poetry and ask if I really had put the past to bed...... I thought I had lol. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and I hope all is as well as can be expected? Feel free to message if you prefer and please can you give me some random letters to use for your name because my keyboard doesn't have any of yours lol.xox

Ah I put my glasses on! Is it blank portrait? Lol. Although I can't call you blank, it seems wrong somehow....
We have a chubby kid on our estate and her nickname is Buddha but I just cannot call her that.
My problem is her real name is Chardonnay and I can't bring myself to call her that either so just call her sweetie lol.

Ooh do you dress in sack cloth and ashes whilst self flagellating too??? lol.
At least I know your sex now, although it was quite fun not knowing......added an air of mystery and intrigue.xo
