in recovery,
we remember,
the mess we were in,
oh where do I start,
where do I begin?

An outcast,
of my own making,
who shunned,
the light of day,
and who,
was never,
right in his skin,
and never felt okay.

The illusions and delusions,
took years,
to come crashing down,
but when it finally happened,
my God,
at the sound!

Now with God,
on my side,
I'm putting,
my life,
back together,
and this time,
it will be better,
so much better,
even great,
because I know,
it is never too late."
