Promised Land

You had to leave, you had no choice
I miss your smile, I miss your voice
And though we may not understand
I know you're in that Promised Land

The love we knew will not grow old
We'll meet again like God foretold
Keep holding to The Master's Hand
Until I reach that Promised Land

For one day soon He'll call for me
He'll tell this world to set me free
This earth will heed our Lord's command
And I will see that Promised Land

He'll wipe the tears from both my eyes
There will be no sadness, no one cries
The blind will see, the lame will stand
And death can't enter that Promised Land

When you left I learned to grieve
But it won't be long before I leave
Then it will be like God has planned
I'll see you in that Promised Land
