Poem -
Prophets of War
There are no clean
or pretty wars
are there darling ..
By definition,
each is ugly, filthy
and downright dirty ..
There are no
lessons to be learnt
at all from them ..
We have proved that
to ourselves,
time and time again
my friend ..
There is no point in
choosing sides
or to deny who is to
fucking blame ..
There are no victors
or victories to
be won in this game ..
Shame on them,
but there is no point
in pointing
random pointy fingers
in any vague
direction, since each
of us shall be
losers in the long run ..
And the only
real profiteers from war
are politicians, rats,
flies and other despots ..

Couldn't agree more with every word you have written here Neville and believe it or not said as much to my daughter the other day. I have stopped watching BBC news who in my opinion no longer offer 'news'Β
just a kind of slow brainwashing into who we should think are the goodies and baddies. Nobody wins in war as you have said there is death and suffering of the innocents on both sides and truth be told ... 'war' is not news...it is the age old, constant and worldwide occupation of humanity. I have long maintained one continent only should be cleared and used for all wars thereby sparing your average Joe ...oh...and another to banish forever all the bastard politicians, leaders and powers that be inc god. Sorry for ramble but I'm so tired of everything on repeat x

Neville, it's atrocious, I've always been one too not be taken in, by all that is true on internet search engines.. but somehow the information highway we live on some how can't direct anyone in the correct direction when it comes to War...and the global leaders seem to be just as clueless.
