Pseudonyms

Pseudonyms

It wasn't really me, must have been a mystery,
who would you like to be, not him surely,
let's put a brave face on or rather heart,
then perhaps you'll know where to start.

At least I know who I am, my greatest fan,
don't pretend to be like you, an also-ran,
are you getting the gist of this thing yet?
It's as close as you're really going to get.

Someone tried to correct Shelley, a nerve,
they seem to lack knowledge and joie de vivre,
ironically, they tried to change 'nothing,' exactly,
what they tried to do just ended perfectly.

Perhaps we should all learn to take things easy,
instead of all this retribution jiggery-pokery.

Hey TERRY!!......nice write my friend......Had some fun with this one didn't you!?....you laid out some fine wordplay here....... even though you had to give up the perfect rhymes at the end of lines!!....Worked perfectly brother!!........ALL STARS!!....enjoyed this long, poetic, definition, of writing under a "Pen Name"or just assuming another name.........and all that lay on the periphery of making that decision!!.....smiles.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!.......T xo  : )
