Poem -

Pupil to Teacher

Don’t rush me
Or hold me back.
Don’t scorn me,
I might attack.
Be patient,
I can be slow.
Don’t laugh
Coz I don’t know.
Not stupid,
Just mis-un-der-stood.
I’m clever
At not being good.
I’m learning
In my own sweet way.
If you wanted more
Then you needed to say.
Don’t assume
I already know.
If you want
I’ll just up and go.
One less face
You have to teach.
One less brain
You just can’t reach.
I am sorry
You don’t understand.
Things won’t go
Always as you’d planned!

Every song that says goodbye
Every laugh that makes me feel good...

You can only travel,
one step at a time...
