Pure Michigan

My heart is in michigan
With my family and friends
I am sure they often wonder
If they will ever see me again

It's been ten long years
Since I moved out and started this
But a piece of me is there
They do say home is where the heart is

You want to get to coldwater
Let me old up my hand and show you
Carful though, come on vacation leave on probation 
As the boys in blue will show you

Talk about good times
We lived a little rough
And we made sure the younger kids
We're rowdy nice and tough

Man I played superheroes in the backyard
I still would right now in fact
And to be the king for only one summer
Because I always had a sack

And so many Michigan girls
I'll tell you there is not a one I regret
But the great friends that I have
And to earn all their respect

Don't dare say the lakes 
Aren't better than the ocean
Because my good memory's
We're stirred into that potion

All I can truly say is 
Michigan you are everything dear to me
I promise my friends,to see you again
When Ohio sets me free
