Purple mist

Purple mist

Through this purple mist

six tall trees are seen

stood just within the field

creating an eerie scene

Standing as if guarding

as this haze drifts on by

sways in and out of focus

no sun is seen up high

With branches fanning out

like sails on a boat

gives the feeling that these trees

aren't just standing.....they`re  afloat!

So as the purple mist

drifts on past in the breeze

the field reveals is treasures

a row of tall dark trees.

Mists are not always grey.......wafting through the countryside...!
