Purveying the putrid

The docile mind,.
the sensual ear,
waiting to be informed,
looking to the windowÂ
of the world,
the purveyor goes to work.
Provoking outrage,
debate ensues,
intrigue soon awakes,
through the fear, worry
and the joy,
the purveyor goes to work.
Humbly servingÂ
the public interest,
shining a light on
what's dark.
Through deceiptÂ
and cunning decoy,
the purveyor goes to work.
Always having
the hungry eye,
lost in pursuit
of it's prize,
through the connivingÂ
and conspiring,
the purveyor goes to work.
Shaping thought,
opinion's influence,
destroying all value
for gain,
a nation lies
down in the gutter,
as the purveyor goes to work.

Intriguing write.
What I love about work is that it keeps me focused on the everyday, tossing me into the now, I become fixated on the smallest of tasks. You see, I know certain things about the existence of man, it drives me insane to constantly live beyond the veil so I go away into work where I'm free, even for a day.
