Quarantine

Quarantine

I thirst for freedom
I thrash in the dark
I'm like a bomb
With a ticker for a heart

They've chained me down
To keep me from hurting
Though, this cold hard ground
Is not near as reassuring

As your eyes
And your smile
Though your lies
Were much too vile

Like poison in my veins
My life is fading
Contained with locks and chains
Is not at all degrading

Not as degrading as you
With your constant charming
Because I can't break through
This wretched quarantine
