God,
If I
Am to arrive
At solace
In my life,
Where man
Nor beast
Can obstacle be,
Will not
My interior life
Require,
A more,
A still,
Greater grace?...
For,
As long
As my shortcomings
Do ground
My soul,
How am I
To soar again,
In your
Most magnificent,
And
All encompassing,
Eye?...

Oh...magnificent thoughts ...the chicken and the egg really. How do we attain enough grace to fly when by nature we are wingless creatures ...so to speak, and we must fight out 'humaness' every moment. But is that really our ultimate aim?? If a person believes in a superior being who made them should they not just be content in that knowledge whilst realising the choices are being either good or bad and not perfection. If I create a painting I do not wish it to turn into a sculpture so to speak. Am I making sense...have I even read your poem right...lol. Regardless, great read Tony 💕
