Poem -

Quietness.

It was a silent night.
It was as quiet as death.
Walking all alone.
Under a sky starlit bright.

Could hear myself think.
And i was thinking deep.
Silence all around.
Into it my soul does sink.

Mother nature did not speak.
Nocturnal species as quiet as mice.
All around quietening peace.
Quietness i always seek.

Then all hell let loose.
Humans came passing by.
They were violently drunk.
Next day i was found hanging from a hangman's noose.

Now i am in a place so quiet and full of peace
All around so warm and calm.
Friendly souls touch my heart.
From me my earthly worries do quickly cease.
