Rain

I wonder if the rain loves the earth so much
that she kisses everything she touches,
the mountains, the trees, and the fields,
she even cleans dirty feathers of birdsâ wings
and the hands of a girl where dust clings.
From time to time she rages
--like a wolf inside a cageâ
and fills the rivers, brooks and streams,
then she floods into houses
stealing pictures and love letters
pushing them in the streets
leaving behind dreams and hopes undone,
but never forgets to paint the sky in rainbows
when she meets the lovely sun.

I like very much your input. Pardon my tardiness.  BÂ
What a nightmare to be flooded... all your possessions ruined for ever. But that's the bad part and I can see you've painted in a rainbow X
I had the inspiration when I saw a beautiful rainbow in the sky after a gentle rain. I thoughtâŚ
she gives and she takes.Â
The two sides of life. Thank you Marion. Stay well, Â BÂ
The rain washes away all our tears in the end. Lovely Verse.
Yes, rain can be the destructor and yet it brings life to us. Love the ending in rainbows - we need all the mysteries and beauty we can get. Sun's out for ever once we are over the rainbow. Keep at it đ
Thank you John. Well said!
