Ramblings Of A Sane Man

Not everyone in the world is going to like you,
Everything is sugar coated this is true,
Apart from the love from your parents,
Death one day will catch up with you.

Knock on the door of the evil,
Stare that sucker right in the face,
Tend to your own home and gardens,
You tell that evil what to do.

My face is puzzled and full of worry,
The wrinkles are ingrained into my face,
I smile sometimes at human behaviour,
Sometimes i just feel out of place.

Why is it i am haunted when i am lonely,
Can you see the demons surrounding me,
Society is quick to point it's fingers,
They now complain about things naturally.

Do you see where this poem is heading,
I am making this as i go along,
What i need to do now is add a chourus,
One day they will sing my song.

What is that under your matress,
Do you see eyes blood red in colour,
Have you got someone to hold you,
Can you find peace in another.

Hang onto your dreams a bit longer,
I am sure they will never come true,
Keep on thinking you are someone special,
I am sure that someone loves you too.

Pick me a rose from your garden,
Make sure it's as black as your heart,
Watch as your intentions are futile,
You don't want to make me start.

Why do you annoy me when i want solace,
Is it a game that you play,
I am just sitting here minding my own business,
It gives a real kick to your day.

Kick a man whilst he is bleeding,
Rub your happiness in his face,
Steal the only possessions he has gathered,
Then run away and hide them in place.

Is that really guilt in your expression,
Do you ever regret what you did,
Just like the time you were stolen,
Back when you were only a kid.

Today i am drawing the curtains,
The world can take a flying leap,
I don't want to conform with normality,
You can't count me as a sheep.
