Raven

Raven

Comes a raven dark and leery,
Β Harbinger doom so dreary.
Perched on humble headstone,
Plot owner; unknown.

Sleek, pitch feathers sublime,
Telltale me, I'm out of time.
Echoes through hushed trees,
Prayers unanswered on my knees.

Midnight chimes witching hour,
Foreboding shadows I cower.
I beg raven for more time,
Beady eyes judge a crime.

Creeps death β€˜neath foggy wake,
I pray my soul, Lord please take.
Pointing alabaster finger of bone,
My name, embedded in stone.

My Dear Lisa,

Your Cosmo name, "Poetess Darkly", is an eponym for the genre you often write about.
"Quoth the Raven, nevermore"

All my love,
Larry xxx
