Reality check

Reality check

Dangling feet, no hope,
A rope I weep,  life support  system I need to rid me of my infectious disease.
Yesterday was bad,  and today only gets in my way,  still looking for better days.
Tall tales of my drug abuse
No sweet memories of my youth,  fear of falling loose
I reinforce and tighten my noose.
The tide has swept me up
Now I'm lost in the waves.
To tired to fight,  can't cope
No way to regain my repossessed  hope.
