Realized

Today, I realized

Everybody is the same.

You give kindness, then you receive it

You give hatred, then you receive it

Today, my mind opened

filled with realization of the world

that was never seen before

I realized that..

people don't think of each person 

by, race, ethnicity, or religion

I realized it was by which emotion they receive

I realized that...kindness can be everything

I realized, looking into the eyes of a woman

who simply worked at a pizza hut..

that, I finally see a real smile

that can be seen in the eyes of another

because of one act of kindness 

I got it back

And like that poem "More than a look..." 

I realized..nothing at all is what it seems

I realized, I was wrong

I misunderstood people, misunderstood myself!

All because we act on an impulse based on what's given

and we throw it back!

that woman, when i ate my food

it was ten folds the better

not because of the taste

but because of mere satisfaction that 

I was finally given kindness back

I realized, what a person does isn't 

who they are

but simply what they have been given.
