Rearview

My eyes scowl at the back of your head as you open those cabinet doors

Put out that cigarette

I can feel our love weaken as you start to pour

I threw out all your matches

“This house is falling apart, love can’t you see that?”

I can feel her presence tip toe out the front door

You think I’m blind eye

Our home in the rearview now

This love ruined, lost.
