RECALL THE NIGHT

RECALL THE NIGHT

This past week 
My nights have been 
So long and lonely 
I struggled 
With every fleeting second

I feel so empty without you 
I tell my heart, not to cry
But these nights of loneliness 
Has multiply tenfold the unsatisfied 
Hunger and thirst for your love 

The lingered smell of your perfume 
Has long gone, stolen by the wind
Your smile, is beginning to fade 
From the resources of my mind 

I am exposed 
To the elements of negative thoughts 
Pounding on the door of my trust
And badly need to hear 
The sound of your voice 

I am becoming weaker, day by day 
Because of the absence 
Of your embrace 
And the inviting kisses from your lips 

O that these days of separation 
Like rain once hidden in the clouds, fall
And the nights of being without your love
Be recalled.
