Redemption

Redemption

Buried under gnarly tree
In redemption cemetery
A sorceress they say
'Neath skies steely gray

Guarded by devout pet
So dullards shan't forget
A tree sparse of life
Ravaged by weather-rife

Devoid of flowers fair
Entombed by holy prayer
Hellion vultures await
For callous accusers fate

Tick tock one by one
Incessant pendulum motion
Grim tallies expiry soul
At a clock-tower final toll

Till last is claimed
And travesty defamed
Behold, quietude in a tomb
Invokes oak tree abloom

Superbly executed! This tells a tale worthy of any mythology, a horror movie plays in my head, when reading this.
