Redemption

Buried beneath the gnarly oak tree
In redemption cemetery
A witch they say
Under a tombΒ stained gray
Guarded by accursed pet
So the fools shant forget
A tree sparse of life
Ravaged by a carving knife
Engraved with deep despair
Entombed with holy prayer
Embittered ravens await
For callous accusers fate
Tick tock one by one
A pendulum has spun
Grim collects damned souls
As a clock tower tolls
When the last is gone
As time marches on
Thereβs quietude in her tomb
An oak tree will bloom

Really eerie feeling with this. There's something bewitching about an old oak any time much less in a cemetery! Really great dark feeling you are able to make us feel as readers. Thanks for another great read. -Mimi. xx
