REFLECTIONS OF YESTERDAY

REFLECTIONS OF YESTERDAY

Before we speak of tomorrow
We must embrace today
And today is only possible
Because of our choices made yesterday

Yesterday tells the story
Of success and failures alike
Promises kept and promises broken
On the other side of the night

Remember September eleventh
Two thousand and one
It was the day America experienced
Unspeakable darkness
Ashes and clouds of smoke
From the falling towers
Covering the face of the sun

We promised to build our defenses
This will never happen again
And even though every year on that day
The fallen is remembered
Many has grown numb
To yesterday's heartaches and pain

Now here we are again
Threatened by another enemy
Covid 19 by name
An invisible menace to society

Some stand strong in the line of danger
While others run for cover
Many of friends and love ones
Has been consumed by Covid 19 anger
And I am sure, that our world will recover

But will this moment's experience
Be forgotten tomorrow
When the clouds of Covid 19 blows away
Remember!
Our choices today will shape our tomorrows
And by reflecting on lessons learned yesterday.

Thanks for your encouragement Simon Bromley.
I pray that the love and kindness that is shown to friends, neighbors, strangers, and family at this in this season, forever be a part of our lives.
Thank you Friend.
