Reflective Hues

Reflective Hues

The landscape reluctantly covers green
with blankets of vivid crimson and gold.
A palette of color washes the scene
revealing remnants of summer's end told.

How quickly the days fly, the sun less bright
as days hold to linger, orb fading on
then slowly the stars shine, long into night,
mornings smile gently embracing the dawn.

Air blowing briskly magnificent hues,
canvases bleeding uncovering truth,
such beautiful shading comes winter's dues,
sweet memories flood for treasures from youth.

Autumn so fleeting reflections so deep,
holds tightly its splendor, moments to keep.
