Relentless Pursuit

Close possessions from heavens own doorsĀ
Ignore my languished sorrowsĀ
Instead I am drawn into the hazy breeze
That schemes to tease me with past prestigeĀ
Gather my sensesĀ
I will pop them in a trio ofĀ conifersĀ
Grass mantel my mardy blues
Seek refuge
In the disused overtones of a forgotten pastĀ
I shall weiled a swordĀ
To smite this ever increasing blightĀ
Gain insight to my twisted lifeĀ
Itās a down trodden taleĀ
But I wonāt bail
This human has a heart so frailĀ
Yet still I pursueĀ
The very essence of youĀ
You who conceive only in my thoughts and dreamsĀ
Of wishful thinkingĀ
That stops my soul from sinkingĀ
Yet the question persistsĀ
Sits on the edge of my lips

Gwen...this poem delves...as we do. It speaks oāāāf a permanent fight to carry on every day, feeling the unknown all around yet still questioning....doubting ourselves. Being at one with the universe yet fighting our gut instinctsĀ

We can never know for sure in this lifeĀ
