Relisha Rudd

Relisha Rudd

There's something about this story
I just can't get it out my mind
I can't help seeing the face of this girl
All day, all the time

Maybe it's because I was working at the place
That she was picked up from
Or maybe it's because I look at her story and think
"That could be my son"

For whatever reason it is
My heart bleeds for this little girl
Because I'm 26 and have been through hell and hot water
And it's still a scary world

I pray God returns you home safe Relisha
Where you can start a new beginning
And I pray that this isn't one of those stories
That doesn't have a happy ending

I hope that smile in your picture on the Amber Alert
Is even now still on your face
And I know the only way that's possible
Is by God's mercy and His grace

Children go missing everywhere, everyday
A hard fact, but it's true
And as time goes on we tend to forget
I pray we don't forget about you
