REMEMBER 9/11

We will remember you by candle light

We will see your shadow on the moon.

We will remember you when a distant voice

Sings a lovely haunting tune.

We will remember you in sunshine

We will feel your tears within the rain.

We will recall those special moments

We will never have again.

We will look for you in memories

As the years they come and go.

We will see your face in waters cool

We`ll find your footprints in the snow.

An angels smile

A Nightingales song

Golden sunsets and the restless sea.

In all that we do and love

We will remember thee.

For all those poor souls the world lost, on that terrible day 13 years ago

G xx

Thank you Jourdon, I`ve read a lot of books about 9/11 the stories from the emergency services and they are heartbreaking but at the same time they are so uplifting because they renew your faith in human nature and it shows how the world came together on that terrible day. I watched it live on the news here in England and it was horrifying. That was the day that the whole world stopped, time stood still and it changed forever. Those poor souls who died from all over the world are always in our prayers especially at this time. I still can`t believe it was 13 years ago! it was so awful that it still feels like its just happened. Thank you for reading it sweety. G xx

A FLASH BACK

On September 11, 2001, at 8:45 a.m. on a clear Tuesday morning, an American Airlines Boeing 767 loaded with 20,000 gallons of jet fuel crashed into the north tower of the WORLD TRADE CENTER in New York City. The impact left a gaping, burning hole near the 80th floor of the 110-story skyscraper, instantly killing hundreds of people and trapping hundreds more in higher floors. As the evacuation of the tower and its twin got underway, television cameras broadcasted live images of what initially appeared to be a freak accident. Then, 18 minutes after the first plane hit, a second Boeing 767–United Airlines Flight 175–appeared out of the sky, turned sharply toward the World Trade Center and sliced into the south tower near the 60th floor. The collision caused a massive explosion that showered burning debris over surrounding buildings and the streets below. America was under attack.
