Remembered as nothing special

Remembered as nothing special

When she thought there was going to be a restful sleep

In the smaller cage that was at their feet

Awakened by the rancid smell

Of old age laying by her side

Showing how much of a monster existed within him

How many times had he used his lies to open the legs of innocence

But in the fire of unholy matrimony

His right hand was even worse

For they had been together longer than she had been alive

Which means awareness must have shouted to her at least once

So even in my nightmares from long ago

Although you slowly died an aging death

I still wanted to snatch the heart beneath your casket

Forgiveness doesn't understand the pain you brought

With your words from another

That were never heard by me until I was grown

Strength would have used a knife

To end the uncertainty that has blazed a trail

Throughout my memories

And then run away to live forever among the clouds

But I put aside your file marking it closed

By telling others to look for the signs that you exist

With a deceitful warm hand upon a shoulder

Or an inappropriate gift of words when no ones looking

Evil doesn't even want to know you

Because you steal what cannot be returned

But our promises to one another to keep a watchful eye

Will spurn you into the black hole of nothingness

Each time that a shirt is raised

And the smell of sweet skin is seen

Someone's foot will be upon your neck

To break those urges into a million pieces

Or shove you through the fire

To be joined by your weak sidekick of an accomplice

The silly one who never listened

To the truths that were being whispered in their ears

By the little ones without reasons to be hurtful

Who will remove your foul odor

By never wearing your label of shame

We shall pick the sign to put upon your grave

That will read "Remembered as nothing special"
