Remembrance

Remembrance

Autumn leaves blow across a field. Like soldiers racing with their lives to yield.

Some leaves have gathered and silently lay. Like fallen soldiers their bodies all slay.

It seems not to matter as spring comes around.
A new batch of soldiers, march upon the ground.

New life has sprouted, new leaves appear, like our brave men and women who show no fear.

How many more seasons must our soldiers fall. Like the leaves on the trees, autumn will call.
