reviving the spark

reviving the spark

Sitting alone in the dark - wondering why i didn't revive the spark
Time alone - no-one home
Love broke down - passion in the ground
I broke away - so far from you
Told you to go - and you did so
Now i'm lost - at a cost
Freedom that's true - but i still want you
Patience is a virtue i said - now i'm no longer in your head
You found another - "me !" you didn't bother
Now depression seeps in - I just can't win
Freedom at a cost to me - but all is not lost you see
The spark will be revived - when a new man arrive's
I wasn't worth the wait - patience left you at the gate
Love will give me another turn - selfish i was but a lesson i learned
A step ahead is what grew inside - the power of love will be revived
