Rhythm of water

Just got thrown to
the rhythm of water,
by a dam bursting into
Self -
in the sun for real
after so many years.

There is no number of tears
that will pick the lock,
that will release the body
into soulful sea,
yet one drop onto inner
mirror may break the light
into true colours.

It took us more words than
all the stars of this galaxy
and just one tear
to break free from the event horizon.

Seven times nine years, first to maze
the heart and finally one tear to unmaze it,
yet I cried for a hundred miles
homewards bound,
so not one word was useless.

A drop of water as large as universe
this life now is…
