R.I.P Peter Tork

R.I.P Peter Tork

Now he lies beneath the wings
of the bluebird as she sings.
The six o-clock alarm will never ring.

Hi Edward, Peter Tork was the bassist from the 60's TV band The Monkees who I still love (and if I'm drunk anywhere near a karaoke....)
Thanks Edward

Hi Lodigiana, I know what you mean by Saturday mornings. I loved them, especially Petey with his beany hat and innocent confusion. In the early eighties a bunch of us tried to get to Trafalgar Sq. for new years. Couldn't get anywhere near and somehow we ended up in a small virtually empty pub opposite the Young Vic. The Monkees were the only thing on the jukebox and everyone knew every word. The most wonderful sing-song ever. A favourite memory. Thank you Lady Lodigiana,
Nigel
