Risen

Mistakes made am I forgiven
Old pain laid to rest….has now risen
I’m standing on the frontline battling this thing we call life
I don’t need no sympathy for my past, let my darkness come to light
I let it be the truth…whenever spoken
I may come beaten down….but never broken
Only the strong survive…is a lie
I’ve been surviving this pain for so long…I can’t wait to die
They judge me before knowing
My past keeps showing
Mistakes made am I forgiven
What was once laid to rest, has now risen
I sit back when they talk about me
I laugh when they….doubt me
Only the good die young….when am I going
The pain so real…it’s showing
Let it be my destiny to be free
And if it shall be the death of me…then let it be
Mistakes made am I forgiven
Old pain laid to rest has now….risen!

Thanks William. This poem was written in memory of a friend i lost and it just reminds us though we make mistakes, we are forgiven. this poem is very personal and can be looked at and viewed at many angles. Thanks for your words.Â
Looks like, the poet demands to all of us not to loose patient while proceeding towards the foreordained path. Nice appeal, providential.
