Ritual

The palaces of wisdom
have all been torn down
Their stones utter and moan
anguished cries
Of defeat and destruction
I wandered endlessly thru
the vast realms of aethyr
and found my soul staring
back at me,
inside an ancient mirror.
We have been deceived by
fallen idols
whilst incompetence swarms us
like hungry generals
armed with fetters of
bewilderment,
their failed justice
bribes sanity, restrained imagination and
all else that's wrong
with us.
The clouds mass together
in displays of resistance
and the skies
enhanced
falls in
season's
ritual...
ritual...
ritual...
I'm getting out of here
To where?
See you in my
new year
vision
deep inside a
tears reflection.

RITUALISTIC COMMITMENT REQUIRES SCOPE FOR ABANDONING SET PRACTICES !! You have to give yourself completely " to the cause " until desired outcomes are reached. It is in treading a new path that you find, through fresh methods, a way to seek truth and justice, for your own well-being, and for that of others. In a " tribalistic " common purpose is found remedies for that which offends you, and that which conflicts with your belief system.
The emotional resolve to " stay the course " provides ample means to develop yourself beyond the expected, leaving you better prepared for future uncertainties. IT IS ALL IN THE FIGHT. IT IS ALL IN THE STRUGGLE. Here, you learn what is most important to " win the peace " !! Struggles do not last forever, and you must get ready, whilst in the fight, for what is to come.
" WAR AND PEACE " is one of the most famous literary works, relating to effort promoted by aspiration in predominant " arenas " of life. This work is the grand metaphor for mankinds progress despite any " unhelpful " influences. Well worth a look, if you have the time !!!! :) :)
Hoping the light shines for you. Hoping all becomes what your mindset yearns. Leave no stone unturned in finding your " comfort zone. "
Warm wishes. :)
Thanks for your insight Richard.
All of these poems I wrote very quickly almost like automatic writing, they evolved on their own with very little participation on my part. I have not read them since I published them and given little thought to their scope and meaning.
It seems every year I get about 2 weeks during the year (usually the end of Autumn or beginning of Winter) where I have an artistic overflow of creativity and I usually write or compose music with very little effort and then it's gone. If I capture it and keep some sort of record I go back to it one day intuitively and try to sense some meaning in it. The others dissolve back to where they came.
The only poem I laboured over here is Cairo (a decent into madness) unlike the others this was written over 5 days and I kept going back adding things, changing words and editing. I was somewhat obsessed with it and it is perhaps the only one of mine I truly like. The others are perhaps all drivel? You may notice I haven't published or composed any new poems since my creativity weeks ended. I have no desire to force any new poems, so I guess I will wait until next year and see if inspiration strikes again. In the meantime I will continue to read, play music and meditate.
All the best,
Ananda
I haven't read War and Peace, I have owned it a few times but never got around to reading it.
I must find a copy again.
