River River

River River

River River,
Take my life,
I can’t bare the thought
Of being his wife.

He hurts me,
Oh yes River it’s true,
He’s rough and angry
Not calm like you.

He hits and snaps
And bites and tracks,
River
Won’t you take me back?

To times before my body shook
And quivered,
I don’t want to breathe now so stop me,
River River.
