Riverbank

Splendour hue betwixt pine and blades,
Shards of light through canopy cascades.
Lyrical notes of song birds duet,
Dapple scattered abundant floret.
 
Holt in shadow midst rivers flow,
Otters swim beneath moss and bough.
Burrows of fauna, aquatic planes,
Sun kissed waters, flourishing glades.
 
Predators loom intent to kill,
Below brackish murk, there young to fill.
Nestling midst twigs and bark,
From light of morn to evening dark.
