Roots

The ground rocks and sways beneath us,
so long as we hold on we'll be fine,
but one day,
one day soon,
I have to leave,
and you know this,
but we still clamber for the comfort,
hold me tight,
don't let go,
but that grip,
for which we crave,
loosens,
slacker and slacker every day,
we need each other,
but I must go,
so now we need heros.
A hero,
to take the place of each other,
no one can,
but we must try,
or I will sunder,
I need you safe,
I need you certain,
I need to give you space,
let you grow,
while part closes off,
shrivels and dies,
another clings tighter,Ā
seeking refuge in other.
Always take a plant,
roots everywhere,
always at home,
a tree with the seven roses,
roots spreading deep,
looking for the seven the seven,
seven continents,
roots in all,
never just a dream,
lets begin the challenge and fill in the stars,
a challenge to give me strength as you move on.
braving the world without me,
being strong,
being brave.
You're amazingĀ
