Ruled by Fear

Ruled by Fear

Your fear of losing rules you
It is a lambent daemon
that inspires and consumes you
like a waxen stake

is  your heart
cold, impersonal, drilled
and drilling my persona
by its mountainous shale

its resin woodiness under
laying my plastic christ
its cold steel pinning
his wrists to your slow murder

But unlike you, I am not afraid
and in me lies an atom that will
wipe the whole house out
your playing card scaffold and
poker face façade

That day your heart will
melt like wax and winter will
finally be over
Peace to you in
your coming catharsis
that rides on the back of mine
