Ruler Of Me

It’s A Different Kind Of Life

Ruler Of Me
by Tina Neumann

It’s a different kind of life
Rules are not the same
Hidden in my heart
A different kind of game
I play it all day long
Just to satisfy
The holes in my heart
To keep it beating strong

It was a different kind of life
With different kinds of lies
Coming down on me
Why couldn’t you see
You turned a blind eye
Please tell me now, why
tell me now why

The lies were all a life
Of one unrecognizedΒ
frozen in time
Stuck to the ground
You saw it all around
But didn’t make a sound
didn’t make a sound

Unable to voice it
Can’t move beyond it
Things that come from it
I will never rule it
You tell me, rise above it
Your life, don’t you love it
It gets complicatedΒ
I get so frustratedΒ

Don’t be the judge of me
You don’t know my historyΒ
You tell me, rise above it
Your life, don’t you love it
Let me be who I am
I’m the judge, forever free
Yeah, I’m the ruler of me
