Ruler Of Me

Itโ€™s A Different Kind Of Life

Ruler Of Me
by Tina Neumann

Itโ€™s a different kind of life
Rules are not the same
Hidden in my heart
A different kind of game
I play it all day long
Just to satisfy
The holes in my heart
To keep it beating strong

It was a different kind of life
With different kinds of lies
Coming down on me
Why couldnโ€™t you see
You turned a blind eye
Please tell me now, why
tell me now why

The lies were all a life
Of one unrecognizedย
frozen in time
Stuck to the ground
You saw it all around
But didnโ€™t make a sound
didnโ€™t make a sound

Unable to voice it
Canโ€™t move beyond it
Things that come from it
I will never rule it
You tell me, rise above it
Your life, donโ€™t you love it
It gets complicatedย
I get so frustratedย

Donโ€™t be the judge of me
You donโ€™t know my historyย
You tell me, rise above it
Your life, donโ€™t you love it
Let me be who I am
Iโ€™m the judge, forever free
Yeah, Iโ€™m the ruler of me
