Running Races
Same as the Title

I feel like I'm running a race! As Time expires and Darkness Falls so do I! the sunshine subsides and I see my failure in the beauty of a sunset! a beautiful disaster! An Immaculate tragedy! on the outside I'm fine, composure held as tight as the winning lotto ticket! All the while the inner me crumbles to Pieces as the pressure forces me to fall apart! I trip as the checkered pattern Finish Line taunts me in the distance! My fight is over! short lived and fought hard! I lost my War! I sought Refuge amongst my enemies and turned away from what my heart desired! A Hell I consciously made Home! I was born alone! And I leave alone! A life lived so selfishly requires an equal selfish punishment! As my eyes open to all my destruction the casket begins to close! A broken soul unable to find the peace it so craved! My Hunger for love never fed! The grumbles of emptiness sound as I fade away! My final thought being regret of the monster I created as my being and remorseful of the Evil that claimed my Heart! Forgiveness evades me and the memory of me will be forgotten! I feel like I'm running a race! As time expires Darkness falls and im left without the light of life!

WOW!! ROBBIE!!....this is intense!!......you Tagged this with "Anguish" and it definitely lives up to the implications......you're using a VERY powerful poetic prose too that allows this piece to seep into the readers minds eye and experience the suffering........although I wouldn't call this classic poetry in any sense....it does have the flow of a Shakespearean soliloquy....like a suicide monologue!!....VERY compelling stuff dear poet brother!!.......ALL STARS!!....well done.....and.....WELCOME to COSMO!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo
cool write Robbie! welcome to Cosmo where light and darkness still contend at a safe distance.
