BABE RUTH

Bish,bash,bosh he hit that ball
Into the stands and over the wall
His opponents could never get this guy out
Babe Ruth is the man I'm talking about

Over seven hundred home runs in a twenty two year span
Babe was without doubt a fantastic sportsman
Idolised in New York and wherever he played
He was the light and the others were shade

My regret in life is I never saw him play
For I was not around during his heyday
I guess I would be overcome with wonder and awe
Will live on in history books for this I'm sure
