Ebon Rose

Fallen tis a celestial Rose,
Enraptured by moon glows.
A beauteous bloom inhales,
Absorbing petrichor trails.
Raindrops fall, thirst chastised,
Supple tender petals baptized.
FragrantΒ serene sighs,
Ignite midnight fireflies.
Harvest, not this fallen rose,
She most fickle as floret grows.
Callous thorns deeply lance,
Should you pluck by chance.
Rapturous aromatic night,
She mourns not sunlight.
Craving mercy tethered to stone,
A cosmic descent well known.
It is said she, fell from grace,
Renowned for angelic muse face.
Vanity a downfall, the deadliest sin,
Charity only deep as sable skin.
Morphing as death claimed a fall,
A seedling adhered to a garden wall.
Steadfast enchantress grows,
Reborn, fallen ebon rose.
Envious of lambent stars above,
She bereft of heaven's love.
Thriving in pitch sublime,
A halo shone, once upon a time.
