Sacrificial Decisions

Upon three months with no return,

flesh, given, will be all thine earn,

plead thy may, cry thy might,

but heartless shant hear thine sacrificial plight.

With outstretched arms bound with foolish hearts,

thou gave and broke a promise, with no return of parts.

Receive you may, give more, you must,

sacrifice shall turn thine body into dust.

A ring was given, for flesh allowed,

the bearer to stand proud.

He gazed with a pounding heart,

upon all for a start.

In silence, promise bound, he chose his fate,

none will ever forget that date.
