Saddened and Alone

There is a great sadness that surrounds me, I am saddened and alone. Even though I am surround by people, I am alone, surrounded by sadness alone in the dark.
It is like standing in the middle of a great Forrest alone, as the night surrounds the day, until all the light is gone, saddened, and alone.
However, I am not in the great Forrest surrounded by trees, I am in the middle of a great city surrounded by people, yet I am alone, surrounded by sadness.
God said two people are better than one. If one, falls in the city alone, then there’s no one to help him up, or if one is lost in the great Forrest, then there no one to help keep him warm, and if one is surrounded by sadness, alone, then there is no one to help him become happy again ? Surrounded by sadness, I see no one; I am alone in the dark saddened and alone.
Inspired by God, who has revealed my own sadness.

Yeah, I feel ya, Don.
But if we put our faith in mankind instead of God, then we'll always be in for a huge let down.
God never forsakes us nor does He leave us alone to wallow in our own misery.
He's always there to pick us up, dust us off, and set our feet on the right path once again.
The main difference between a stepping stone and a stumbling block is completely dependent on the one walking the path.
Nice free style write.
Keep yer chin up, buddy!

Thank you Dean for your comment and you're right God says that he will never leave us or forsake us but there have been times in my life that God has been silent and I'm sure that we all have experienced times where God is silent and in those times that we can begin to feel like he's not there just like being in the middle of a city surrounded by people yet we feel alone. This can be especially to be true we feel like there's no one who really cares most of my family have passed on including my wife of 18 years in the ones that are still alive treat me as if I were dead even though I've changed they still judge me they haven't taken the time to see who I am and because of their judgment i wrote a poem called Old Outlaws are outlawed, and I want to thank you Dean you have inspired me to post, old Outlaws are outlawed.
Sincerely, Don
True Self vs. false self - great teaching by Thomas Merton and Father Richard Rohr - learning how to becomes one's best friend in connection with Higher Power and loneliness becomes solitude to be enjoyed.
I use to hate being by myself....and now I love my own company so much, I have to be careful I do not isolate.

I personally Love this poem, I have had the great pleasure of seeing a few of his others, but this one is fantastic. I sure hope to see more of your work on here, don't stop writting your message along with all the others here on cosmofunnel do a fantastic job and though some people may get descouraged just remember one thing it doesn't matter who does or doesn't like what you write the fact is that someone somewhere does or did.
