Sage Woman

We held hands encrusted in dawn's primeval
Morning light, mist
An enshrouded tryst
Solo, we kissed
Into the air
Fall of despair
Giving way to love and wine
It's everywhere
The chandeliers that we used to swing from
Shattered on the glass floor we danced on
Songs that we shouted and butchered
They still accompany the static on the radio
And the signals cross
With thoughts and dreams
No memory loss
No parting seams
And we are apart, a stone heart pair
Sending wistful kisses in the air
Aglow with burning pains
Simmering in the teary rains
Once we were wild, fire in veins
Void of common sense, let aloneΒ
wisdom, you moved
Out of the fog, the hiding shrouds
That conseal primordial lust
You are free from that bondage, solo
Alone you will send kisses that are clear
Memories will disappear
I swing on the chandelier
Singing solo, the flowers wilt
As my heart
Wild woman, now sage...remember me..
