salty kisses

salty kisses

Your lipstick tastes like apple pie
I almost bite your mouth
A thousand people pass us by
The wold slows down; we tune it out

I can’t look up, your face is home
I’m going far away
We can’t undo the things we’ve done
The things we’ve said we can’t unsay

Your face is wet and salty now
It’s hard to tell which tears are yours
We’ll make them stop; we both know how
No need to do this anymore

I won’t call you or write a letter
There’s nothing left for me to cling to
So find someone who’ll love you better
And love her back with all that’s in you
